Call the Office of Recruitment and Retention to schedule a visit (contact information below), and we would be more than happy to set up meetings with academic departments in which you may be interested.
Apply for admission to UALR
The admission application for UALR is now entirely online. Visit http://boss.ualr.edu and complete the application. If you are transferring fewer than 12 hours, you will need to apply as an “Undergraduate Freshman Transfer.” Otherwise, you will be an “Undergraduate Transfer” student.
Submit all required documentation
Transfer students need to submit official copies (in a sealed envelope) of the following documents in order to complete the admission process.
Final High School transcript and ACT scores (Freshman Transfers ONLY)
Transcripts from ALL postsecondary institutions you have attended (universities, community colleges, and technical schools).
Immunization Records
Apply for the Transfer Scholarship
The Shelby Breedlove Transfer Scholarship is for students who have completed approximately 60 hours at an accredited Arkansas community college with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. Paper applications for the Scholarship must be received by the February 1 priority deadline each spring before transferring the following fall semester.
Transfer federal financial aid (FAFSA) to UALR
If you have been receiving federal aid (Pell grant and student loans) at your current or previous schools, you may be eligible to receive similar aid at UALR. Be sure to transfer your FAFSA information to UALR so we can process your aid.
Meet with an Academic Advisor
After the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid has received all your admission documentation, you can meet with an academic advisor to help you choose your classes. Contact the Office of Academic Advising at 501.569.8688.
